After earlier careers in woodworking and social work, I returned to college in 2007 to pursue a lifelong interest in science and math. En route, I discovered a passion and a knack for explaining difficult concepts to my fellow students in ways they could understand. As a lifelong learner I am always seeking to understand real-world situations to illustrate math and science concepts; as a relatively recent student myself, I can relate to the difficulty students face learning these subjects and can help them work through their anxieties.
